Toyota North America faced the same set of perineal workforce problems that beset almost every employer of technical talent across the globe: too few technical applicants, new-to-field technicians, and an aging incumbent workforce. Rather than hoping for the best or making marginal improvements, they reinvented the education system for new technicians and rebuilt it from the ground up.
