Three years ago, we brought together two critical functions—engineering and capital projects—into a single, unified model. While the expectation was cost reduction through outsourcing, the real opportunity was far greater: unlocking value through smarter asset management, digital capability, and data-driven decision-making.
This insight sparked a broader transformation. We reallocated engineering effort toward high-impact work to drive reliability, availability, and efficiency. In parallel, we built a data and AI strategy grounded in a simple idea: technology is a bridge, not a replacement. As many organisations are discovering, the biggest AI gains aren’t from disruption, but from small wins like capturing expert knowledge and automating labour-intensive work.
This session shares our journey from structural integration to intelligent operations - aligning people, processes, and technology to deliver measurable gains in availability, efficiency and cost performance.
