MAINSTREAM 2025 Debates: Who Really Owns Asset Intelligence? The Ivory Tower vs. The Engine Room

Panel & Debate
Maintenance Stage
Day 02

This session will tackle one of the big questions in asset management today.
Who really understands your assets — the people who design them, or the people who operate them?

We’re setting up a live debate between two sides;
• On one side, the Ivory Tower — representing the finance and the IT teams.
• On the other, the Engine Room — representing operations, maintenance, and frontline teams.

Each side will make their case with strong, opposing views on where asset intelligence truly lives. Is it created in design? Or earned through day-to-day use and experience?

After that, it’s over to you. We’ll open the floor to the audience — to your opinions, questions, and perspectives. Nothing is off limits. If you care about how we understand and manage assets in 2025 and beyond, this is your chance to join the conversation.
