Northumbrian Water is a mature asset management organisation with ISO 55001 accreditation, advanced risk management capabilities, and its largest-ever investment programme underway. As its asset management approach continued to evolve, the organisation identified the need for a single, scalable, and governed asset health measure embedded within its enterprise asset management system. Working with Cohesive, Northumbrian Water developed a proof of concept to test how asset health could be measured consistently, automated across asset classes, and made visible to operational teams. The initiative also uncovered a critical relationship between asset health scoring and the quality of underlying asset data.
