Work Design for a Mentally Healthy Workforce

Following on from his highly regarded sessions and workshops with Mainstream on building effective mental health strategies, Simon will now turn his attention to one of the most critical success factors in creating mentally healthy workplaces — job and work design.

Drawing on his extensive experience as Chief Mental Health Officer for leading Australian organisations, Simon brings both strategic insight and practical expertise to this increasingly important area.

In this session, Simon will share practical examples, frameworks and tools designed to help organisations and work groups embed psychosocial risk mitigation into the design of work itself. A key focus will be on the importance of collaboration with job holders and the role of effective consultation frameworks in driving meaningful and sustainable outcomes.

Simon will also explore some of the most pressing management challenges organisations are navigating today, including flexible work practices, job control, workload pressures and exposure risk.

Adding a touch of “back to the future”, Simon will revisit the enduring importance of process re-engineering and robust innovation practices in supporting mentally healthy, high-performing workplaces.

This session will provide leaders with actionable insights into how thoughtful work design can improve both employee wellbeing and organisational performance.
