Project Camry: Simplifying Maintenance Planning & Enabling S/4HANA at Mackay Sugar

Perspective
Root Cause Stage
Day 01

Mackay Sugar’s maintenance planning and scheduling was highly manual, fragmented, and resource-intensive—creating inefficiencies and limiting the team’s ability to scale. Through “Project Camry,” we set out to simplify and standardise our maintenance workflows into a more consistent, user-friendly approach. By implementing Prometheus’s planning and scheduling solution, we replaced disconnected processes with a centralised “one-stop shop” that cut administrative effort and improved usability. The result: planners freed to focus on higher-value work, greater operational consistency across the business, and a strong foundation for our migration to S/4HANA.

  • The starting point: manual, fragmented planning at Mackay Sugar
  • Why we launched Project Camry: making the case for change
  • Simplifying and standardising our maintenance planning workflows
  • Implementing Prometheus as one centralised “one-stop shop”
  • Freeing planners to focus on higher-value work
  • Laying the foundation for our S/4HANA migration
